MainStreet Electronic Billing
Interface allows you to send your billing file to a third party who then can
print and mail your utility bills. The advantage of using an outside service
to handle your utility bills may include:

Postage – if you are not currently using optimal postage handling such as
CASS and or sorting.

hiring of additional staff by freeing up time that can be spend in collections
and follow up

Billing Interface File
This
function creates a file that contains the information used to print utility
bills. Before you purchase the MainStreet Electronic Billing interface, be
certain to have your billing service provider approve the file format used by
MainStreet in order to avoid unexpected charges necessary by your provider or
MainStreet.
Sending the Billing File
MainStreet does not automatically send the billing file to your billing
service provider. Instead you will have to email or transfer the file using
any standard method available to you or provided by your billing service
provider.
