Budget Billing
SALISBURY, MD – May 1, 2001. MainStreet Software Corporation, a provider of
software solutions for local governments, has announced the release of MainStreetTM Budget Billing, an additional component of its
Utility Billing suite of applications.
MainStreetTM Budget Billing allows you to create a
budget agreement for the customer, and compute a budget bill based upon a choice of
seasonal, annual, or a rolling monthly average usage.
The customer’s budget bill shows the usage and calculated billing
amount for the period billed, and instructs the customer to remit the budget amount. The budget plan overpayment or deficit is also
printed on the bill.
Delinquencies and cut-offs are processed in the same manner as
regular billing customers. Customers that do
not make the agreed upon budget billing payments are subject to delinquency actions, and
will not be eligible to participate in budget billing plans.
Wes Park, Finance Director for the City of Bennettsville, said,

program to provide some relief to our customers. MainStreet
